The Opportunity

A leading, multi-location healthcare organization is seeking a Director of Talent Management to build and lead enterprise-wide talent strategies that strengthen performance, develop future leaders, and create meaningful career advancement opportunities.

With more than 90 clinical locations and a growing corporate infrastructure, the organization is undergoing an exciting transformation focused on operational excellence, leadership development, and employee engagement.

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic, hands-on talent management leader to build programs from the ground up , partner directly with executive leadership, and influence how talent is identified, developed, evaluated, and retained across the organization.

The ideal candidate brings experience designing scalable talent management programs within healthcare, multi-site operations, or similarly complex organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Management Strategy & Performance Management

• Design and implement an enterprise-wide talent management strategy aligned with organizational growth and business objectives.
• Build and optimize performance management frameworks that establish clear expectations, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
• Develop competency models and role profiles to support consistent performance evaluations and employee development.
• Partner with clinical and corporate leadership to establish a high-performance culture across multiple locations.

Succession Planning & Leadership Pipeline Development

• Develop and implement succession planning strategies for critical leadership and operational positions.
• Identify high-potential employees and establish structured talent pools and leadership pipelines.
• Create talent assessment and readiness frameworks to support future leadership needs.
• Partner with senior executives to evaluate organizational talent and strengthen leadership continuity.

Career Development & Internal Mobility

• Design career pathways that provide employees with clear opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
• Develop frameworks supporting internal promotions, lateral mobility, and cross-functional career development.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HR leadership to increase internal hiring and retention.
• Establish consistent career development processes across clinical and corporate functions.

Talent Calibration & Organizational Effectiveness

• Lead enterprise-wide talent review and calibration processes to ensure consistent, equitable performance assessments.
• Equip managers with tools and resources to identify, evaluate, and develop talent.
• Partner with HR and operational leadership to strengthen performance conversations and development planning.
• Drive adoption of talent management programs across geographically dispersed teams.

Talent Analytics & Continuous Improvement

• Partner with People Analytics to establish KPIs measuring talent performance, succession readiness, internal mobility, and retention.
• Leverage workforce data to identify talent gaps, evaluate program effectiveness, and guide strategic decisions.
• Present talent insights and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Continuously evaluate and improve talent management processes to support organizational growth.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive experience in Talent Management, Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness, or related leadership functions.
• Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and scaling enterprise-wide talent management programs.
• Experience developing performance management frameworks, succession planning strategies, talent review processes, and career development programs.
• Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred , particularly within multi-site healthcare delivery, physician practices, outpatient services, or other complex clinical environments.
• Experience supporting geographically dispersed or multi-location organizations.
• Proven ability to build talent management infrastructure and introduce new programs within evolving or transforming organizations.
• Strong analytical capabilities with experience leveraging talent metrics to influence business decisions.
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and executive stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to influence senior leadership and drive organizational adoption of new talent initiatives.
