Sr. Lead Software Engineer: Payments

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• We expect advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages.
• We require strong knowledge of software applications and technical processes, with deep expertise in at least one discipline such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile.
• We look for the ability to solve design and functionality issues independently with minimal supervision.
• We require practical cloud-native experience.
• We value demonstrated experience leading the effective use of enterprise-approved AI-assisted software development tools, including the ability to define expectations for validating AI-generated outputs for accuracy, performance, and security.
• We require a strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and resiliency and security expectations, along with experience coaching senior engineers and leads on compliant usage patterns and controls.

• We provide technical guidance and direction to support the business, technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• We develop secure, high-quality production code and review and debug code written by others.
• We drive decisions that shape product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes.
• We serve as a subject matter expert across one or more areas of focus.
• We contribute to the engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and Software Development Life Cycle practices.
• We influence peers and project decision-makers to consider leading-edge technologies.
• We drive adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, including code review, refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, and incident analysis.
• We apply knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle toolchain tools, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to increase the value delivered through automation at scale.
