Power Systems Applications Engineer

This Ohio-based company has been providing on-site power solutions for businesses, contractors, engineers, municipalities, and homeowners since 1947- making it the oldest Rehlko generator distributor in the country. They're also a distributor of Siemens Energy engines and generators for a wide range of power generation applications, including combined heat and power, waste-to-power, prime, and continuous power.

They are currently hiring an Applications Engineer for their Power Systems Division. This role is fully remote, but based in Ohio. This is a highly relationship-driven, customer-facing role where you'll build and maintain relationships with electrical engineers across Ohio, while also supporting Buckeye's internal team.

Role Overview:

This role is less about hands-on repair work and more about relationships, communication, and technical credibility. You'll spend a lot of your time talking to people- presenting yourself well, building trust with electrical engineers, and giving technical presentations- while also applying real engineering knowledge of power systems to properly size and specify equipment. You'll act as the technical bridge between Buckeye/Rehlko and the engineers who design power systems for their projects, while also supporting internal teams with technical questions.

Key Responsibilities Include:

-Build and maintain relationships with electrical engineers throughout Ohio

-Promote the company and Rehlko brand systems

-Conduct presentations to engineers and contractors

-Promote and train stakeholders on Rehlko Power Solutions Software

-Offer technical assistance internally to the Buckeye team and externally to customers

-Attend trade shows and conferences as a guest and/or presenter

-Identify problems and provide quality solutions

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (mechanical/electrical preferred)

-Strong verbal and written communication skills

-Exceptional presentation skills

-Strong customer service and relationship-building skills

-Able to work independently with minimal supervision

-Good organizational skills and ability to multitask

-Must live in Ohio; ability to travel to customer sites as needed (not a set/regular field requirement)

Compensation & Benefits:

-Pay range: $95,000-$110,000/year, based on skills and experience
