How You Will Make An Impact As a Facilities Supervisor at ThredUp, you’ll be the on the ground owner of facility safety, maintenance coordination, and vendor management for one of our distribution centers, with additional facilities vendor and maintenance oversight for a second nearby site. This is a hands on, individual contributor role. You’ll coordinate day to day repair needs, perform minor repairs, and own the vendor relationship and purchase order process for anything beyond that. You’ll also partner with Supply Chain leadership on facilities budget, vendor accountability, and cost control across both sites. In This Role You’ll Get To: Safety & Compliance Champion a safety first culture at your primary site and support the same standard at your secondary site. Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, environmental, and local safety regulations at both sites. Conduct regular inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; document and resolve issues promptly. Oversee fire suppression systems, alarms, emergency lighting, and PPE compliance at your primary site. Lead incident investigations and corrective action plans as needed. Maintenance & Repair Coordination Coordinate day to day repair needs at your primary site. Perform minor repairs directly (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, dock equipment) as needed. Determine when an issue requires an outside vendor versus in house resolution. Use maintenance tracking tools to log, prioritize, and close out work orders. Vendor & Purchase Order Management Own vendor relationships for facilities maintenance and repair across both sites, including sourcing, scheduling, and quality accountability. Create and manage purchase orders for facilities vendor work at both sites. Vet new vendors for liability insurance and compliance requirements before engagement. Evaluate vendor performance and hold vendors accountable to service standards. Partner with Supply Chain and Procurement on service agreements and cost control. Cost & Efficiency Track facilities maintenance labor, parts, and vendor spend across both sites to identify cost saving opportunities. Contribute to facilities budget planning for both sites. Recommend efficiency improvements that reduce downtime and repair costs. What We’re Looking For 3+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, property management, or industrial operations support. Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Experience managing vendor relationships and purchase/service agreements. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety best practices. Comfortable working independently without a direct team, while coordinating closely with site staff and leadership. Strong communication skills; ability to manage vendor accountability directly. Ability to lift/move up to 40 lbs, climb ladders, and remain mobile during shifts. Ability to travel to a secondary distribution center site (approximately 5 to 10% travel). Ability to respond to urgent facility issues outside of normal business hours as needed. Preferred Previous experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or retail facility. Technical education or certification in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or safety disciplines. OSHA or similar safety certification. Experience supporting facilities across more than one site. What We Offer Consistent, set schedule!
