S1 Technology is seeking an IT Project Manager - an organized, proactive leader who keeps new client onboarding and long-term technology projects moving smoothly from kickoff to close. This position requires strong planning and communication skills, the ability to juggle multiple concurrent engagements, and the judgment to keep clients, technical teams, and leadership aligned every step of the way.

In This Role, You Will

• Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for long-term client projects, tracking milestones and flagging risks before they become problems.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on active projects, providing clear status updates, managing expectations, and resolving issues quickly and professionally.
• Coordinate internal resources across service desk, technical pod, and security teams, assigning tasks and ensuring the right people are engaged at the right time.
• Facilitate project kickoff meetings, status calls, and closeout reviews, documenting decisions, action items, and lessons learned.
• Manage project scope and change requests, ensuring work stays aligned with contracts, statements of work, and client expectations.
• Identify and mitigate risks across onboarding and project work, escalating issues to leadership when needed and driving them to resolution.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including scopes of work, timelines, budgets, and status reports, within S1's project management and ticketing systems.
• Continuously refine onboarding and project management processes to improve efficiency, consistency, and the client experience.

Experience & Skillset Requirements

• Extensive hands-on experience managing IT projects or client onboarding in an MSP, technology services, or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams (technical, security, service desk) toward shared deadlines and deliverables.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and project status to non-technical clients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with project management and ticketing/documentation tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask, Asana, Monday.com, or similar).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and onboarding engagements without losing track of details.
• Sound judgment for prioritizing competing demands, escalating issues appropriately, and staying composed under deadline pressure.
• Commitment to continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and the overall client experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, CAPM, or other project management certification.
• Previous experience in an MSP or IT services environment specifically managing client onboarding.
• Familiarity with ConnectWise or similar tools. 

Position Details

• Location: Onsite Lafayette, LA (candidates outside of this geographical area WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED).
• Employment Type: Full Time
• Pay Type: Salary/Exempt
• Pay Rate: Salary range commensurate with experience, background, and other qualifications
