Dual-Property Executive Housekeeper Open availability, including weekends and holidays. Location: Fairfield, California Job Type: Full-Time, Salaried Salary Range: $80,000–$85,000 annually, depending on experience Properties: Hilton and IHG-Branded Hotels Schedule: Open availability, including weekends and holidays Job Overview We are hiring an experienced Dual-Property Executive Housekeeper to oversee the housekeeping and laundry operations of two hotel properties in Fairfield. This position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, presentation, productivity, staffing, and brand standards across both a Hilton-branded hotel and an IHG-branded hotel. The Executive Housekeeper will lead the housekeeping teams at both properties and will move between locations based on occupancy, staffing, inspections, operational priorities, and guest needs. The ideal candidate has direct housekeeping leadership experience with Hilton and IHG hotels and understands the room inspection, cleanliness, training, documentation, inventory, labor, basic computer, administrative skills, and quality‑assurance requirements of both brands. This is an operational leadership position requiring open availability. The Executive Housekeeper must be available on weekends, holidays, during periods of high occupancy, and whenever either property requires management coverage. Regular days off may be scheduled during the week. Responsibilities Direct all housekeeping and laundry operations for both hotel properties. Divide working time between the properties according to occupancy, staffing, inspections, guest concerns, and operational needs. Maintain consistent housekeeping procedures and performance expectations across both locations. Provide visible leadership and active floor coverage at each property. Coordinate closely with hotel operations, front desk, maintenance, human resources, and senior management. Respond to urgent staffing, cleanliness, laundry, maintenance, and guest‑service issues at either hotel. Brand Standards and Quality Control Ensure guest rooms, suites, public areas, back‑of‑house areas, laundry facilities, and exterior guest areas meet Hilton and IHG cleanliness standards. Conduct daily room, public‑area, laundry, and departmental inspections. Prepare both properties for brand inspections, quality‑assurance reviews, ownership visits, and internal audits. Maintain required inspection records, cleaning logs, preventive maintenance communications, and departmental documentation. Develop corrective‑action plans when cleanliness or brand‑standard deficiencies are identified. Monitor guest feedback and cleanliness scores and take prompt corrective action when concerns arise. Ensure room attendants follow required cleaning sequences, chemical procedures, safety standards, and room presentation requirements. Staffing and Supervision Recruit, interview, train, schedule, coach, and supervise housekeeping and laundry employees at both properties. Establish daily room assignments and staffing levels based on occupancy, departures, arrivals, stayovers, special projects, and business demand. Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity, call‑offs, overtime, meal periods, and schedule adherence. Arrange coverage for call‑offs and operational emergencies. Conduct pre‑shift meetings and communicate occupancy, priorities, VIP rooms, special requests, safety concerns, and operational updates. Inspect employee work and provide immediate coaching or retraining when standards are not met. Document performance, attendance, conduct, and policy concerns and coordinate appropriate action with Human Resources. Promote teamwork, accountability, respectful communication, and consistent service standards. Labor and Productivity Management Prepare efficient schedules for both properties based on forecasted occupancy and approved labor standards. Monitor rooms cleaned per shift, labor hours, overtime, meal premiums, laundry productivity, and departmental payroll. Adjust staffing and assignments throughout the day based on actual room demand and operational changes. Control departmental labor costs without compromising cleanliness, safety, or guest service. Review and approve housekeeping time records according to company procedures. Identify staffing gaps and maintain an active recruitment and cross‑training plan. Inventory and Cost Control Monitor and control linen, terry, guest supplies, cleaning chemicals, uniforms, amenities, equipment, and departmental supplies. Maintain appropriate par levels at both properties. Conduct regular inventories and investigate unusual shortages, losses, or excessive usage. Prepare supply orders within approved budgets. Ensure chemicals are labeled, stored, handled, and documented properly. Reduce waste, linen loss, unnecessary replacement costs, and excessive chemical usage. Maintain organized housekeeping offices, linen rooms, storage areas, and laundry facilities. Guest Service and Interdepartmental Coordination Respond promptly and professionally to guest cleanliness complaints and service‑recovery matters. Personally inspect rooms involved in significant guest complaints and verify corrective action. Coordinate room status, out‑of‑order rooms, rush rooms, early arrivals, and special requests with the front desk. Communicate repair needs and recurring room deficiencies to the Maintenance Department. Work with management to address operational conditions affecting room readiness or guest satisfaction. Protect guest privacy, lost‑and‑found items, keys, hotel property, and confidential information. Safety and Compliance Enforce company safety rules and applicable housekeeping safety procedures. Train employees on chemical handling, Safety Data Sheets, personal protective equipment, lifting practices, bloodborne‑pathogen precautions, heat‑illness prevention, and injury reporting. Ensure compliance with the hotel housekeeping musculoskeletal injury prevention requirements applicable in California. Inspect housekeeping equipment and remove unsafe or damaged equipment from service. Report workplace injuries, hazards, employee complaints, and safety concerns promptly. Participate in safety meetings, investigations, training, and corrective‑action processes. Maintain required departmental records and training documentation. Qualifications At least three years of progressive hotel housekeeping leadership experience preferred. Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper, Director of Housekeeping, Housekeeping Manager, or comparable hotel housekeeping leader. Direct experience with Hilton and IHG brand standards strongly preferred. Experience overseeing housekeeping operations for multiple properties preferred. Strong knowledge of hotel room inspections, laundry operations, public‑area cleaning, scheduling, inventory, labor management, and quality control. Experience recruiting, training, coaching, and managing housekeeping employees. Ability to interpret occupancy forecasts and adjust staffing according to operational demand. Ability to manage competing priorities between two active hotel properties. Strong organizational, communication, documentation, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to use hotel systems, scheduling tools, email, spreadsheets, and timekeeping systems. Professional working proficiency in English required. Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills are preferred but not required. Reliable transportation and the ability to travel regularly between both Fairfield properties. Schedule and Availability Weekdays and weekends Early mornings, afternoons, or evenings as operationally required Holidays High‑occupancy periods Brand inspections and management visits Staffing emergencies and significant guest‑service situations Weekend availability is an essential requirement. Regular days off may be scheduled during the week rather than on weekends. This is not a Monday‑through‑Friday administrative position. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk throughout both properties for extended periods. Ability to bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and climb stairs. Ability to inspect guest rooms, bathrooms, public areas, laundry facilities, storage rooms, and back‑of‑house areas. Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Ability to assist operationally with room cleaning, laundry, supply movement, or other housekeeping duties when necessary. Ability to travel between both hotel properties during the workday. Compensation The anticipated salary range is $80,000–$85,000 annually, depending on relevant hotel leadership experience, multi‑property experience, and knowledge of Hilton and IHG brand standards. Employment remains subject to the company’s policies, operational requirements, and applicable law. #J-18808-Ljbffr CPS HR Consulting
