Sr. Human Factors Design Engineer

Senior Human Factors Design Engineer supporting product development of robotic surgical systems. Conducts formative research, usability evaluations, and design engineering to optimize user experience and minimize risk across medical device development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute formative research plans including user interviews, simulations, and usability testing
• Analyze and synthesize data to generate insights on user interaction and human performance influencers
• Represent organization with end-user clinicians and customers during international research activities
• Define and evaluate workflow and user interface designs, translating findings into evidence-based requirements
• Author usability documentation, manage design controls, and support regulatory submissions

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years relevant industry experience in human factors or related discipline
• BS or MS in Human Factors Engineering, Cognitive Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
• Knowledge of complex robotic systems including mechanical design, sensing, control, and software
• Excellent technical communication skills across verbal, written, and formal presentations
• User-centered design and usability engineering principles application experience
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, clinical, and regulatory teams
• Medical device or regulated industry experience preferred
