Role Description This part-time remote Payroll Specialist role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees. Day-to-day tasks include collecting and verifying timesheets and compensation data, entering and updating employee information in payroll systems, and reviewing calculations to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations. The Payroll Specialist will manage deductions, support handling of garnishments, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll inquiries and discrepancies. Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Payroll Processing and Payroll Administration skills to manage end-to-end payroll activities accurately.
- Candidates should possess experience with Payroll Taxes and Payroll Services to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Garnishments and related deductions to handle court-ordered and other mandatory withholdings correctly.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with payroll software and basic accounting tools, along with solid data entry and spreadsheet skills.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet recurring deadlines in a remote, part-time environment.
- Candidates should possess clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information.
- Prior experience in payroll, accounting, or HR and relevant certifications or coursework in payroll or finance are beneficial.
