Senior Product Manager - New York City

Major Scale is a boutique search firm and talent advisory. We work with early-to-growth stage tech companies, helping them build teams without the usual recruiting noise, hyperbole, or pressure. Right now, we are partnering with a high-growth technology platform dedicated to providing access to AI-native educational tools to students across the world, to find a Senior Product Manager. You’ll take end-to-end ownership of core platform capabilities, working directly with end-users and customers to translate real-world feedback into a high-impact AI product roadmap. You’ll be working closely with our engineering, data science, design, and customer-facing teams to build, scale, and refine generative AI experiences from concept to launch. Location: New York City - on-site 4 days/week Experience Level: 5+ Years Role Type: Full-Time Pay : $185-210k What You’ll Work On Customer-Driven Roadmap: Work hands-on with customers and key stakeholders to uncover core pain points and directly shape feature prioritization and long-term product strategy. 0-to-1 & Scale AI Execution: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for customer-facing AI features—from technical scoping and prototyping through execution, launch, and iteration. Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with machine learning engineers, curriculum engineers, design, and customer success to deliver high-quality, reliable AI workflows. Product Telemetry & Value Tracking: Define success metrics to measure feature performance, model efficiency, user engagement, and customer satisfaction. What We’re Looking For 5+ Years of Product Experience: A proven track record in software product management, demonstrating clear career progression and longevity at a successful technology company. AI Startup Background: Direct experience building and shipping features within an early-stage or high-growth AI startup environment. Technical Foundation: A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, STEM, or a related technical discipline. Customer-Facing Track Record: Experience working directly, one-on-one with customers, with a demonstrated ability to turn user needs into actionable product roadmaps. AI Power User: Deep familiarity with modern generative AI tools and LLMs, incorporating AI into your day-to-day workflow and product design thinking. Strong Execution & Ownership: Ability to navigate ambiguity, prioritize aggressively, and lead cross-functional teams toward measurable business outcomes.
