The VS&A North America Sales Operations team serves as the strategic engine and operational backbone for our sales organization. We focus on removing friction across the sales lifecycle, ensuring data integrity, building actionable analytical insights, and aligning sales compensation with executive performance objectives to support "Solving for safer" across all our markets.

Job Description

The Senior Sales Operations Analyst - Compensation plays a pivotal role in driving the operational execution and integrity of our global sales incentive programs. In this role, you will collaborate with the Global Sales Compensation team to help ensure field sales personnel are paid accurately and on time, maintain data integrity across systems, manage territory alignment and hierarchy changes, administer SPIFFs, and resolve commission inquiries with transparency and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Data Integrity & System Reconciliation

• Audit transaction data, POS feeds, order crediting rules, and CRM records daily to identify missing revenue, uncredited orders, or system logic errors before credit finalization
• Conduct periodic data reconciliation between CRM (Salesforce), ERP (SAP/NetSuite), and SPM systems (Oracle OIC / Callidus) to maintain a single source of truth for revenue attainment
• Manage monthly and quarterly commission disputes, manual adjustments, postal code validation mapping, pencil credits, and quarterly true-up reconciliations to help ensure 100% attainment accuracy and strict adherence to payroll deadlines

Compensation Plan Modeling & Territory Alignment

• Lead financial modeling for quota setting, quota allocation, baseline targets, and proration for new hires or mid-year territory reorganizations
• Oversee end-to-end sales credit assignments, territory mappings (zip codes, named accounts, verticals), and user roles within SPM and CRM platforms
• Collaborate with HR, Sales Ops, and Compensation teams to ensure new hire onboarding and role changes are seamlessly mapped to correct compensation plan templates

Field Stakeholder Support & Analytics Optimization

• Act as the primary point of contact for sales reps and leadership, investigating complex commission disputes, performing root-cause analyses, and providing clear, data-backed explanations
• Design, model, track, and audit Short-Term Incentive Fund (SPIFF) campaigns, managing payout schedules and executive reporting on campaign ROI
• Identify operational bottlenecks in the compensation lifecycle, document SOPs, build Tableau/Excel dashboards, and leverage generative AI tools to automate repetitive workflows

Job Requirements

Technical Expertise

• Sales Performance Management (SPM) administration experience with enterprise SPM software (e.g., Oracle Incentive Compensation / OIC, CallidusCloud, Xactly, Varicent, or Anaplan)
• Salesforce (SFDC) proficiency, including reporting, custom objects, and data structures
• Data Analytics & BI Tools expertise using advanced Excel/Google Sheets (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, nested conditionals) and building dashboards in Tableau or PowerBI
• AI & Automation proficiency leveraging generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Gemini) to accelerate data analysis, write complex formulas or SQL queries, and automate administrative tasks
• SQL & Database Auditing experience writing SQL queries for dataset validation and managing confidential metrics under tight deadlines

Professional Experience

• Financial Modeling experience leading quota allocation, target setting, SPIFF design, and compensation plan mechanics within an enterprise environment
• Stakeholder Support & Conflict Resolution experience handling field commission inquiries with composure, diplomacy, and data-backed explanations
• Process Optimization track record of identifying operational bottlenecks, writing detailed SOPs, and implementing automated workflows across CRM and ERP systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite
• Advanced proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for multi-system data reconciliation

Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
