Technical Support Engineer

We are partnering with one of the world’s most prestigious and sophisticated financial institutions, to hire a Technical Support Engineer for its New York technology team.

This is not a traditional help desk position. We are looking for someone technically sharp, highly responsive, and comfortable troubleshooting issues at a detailed level across Bloomberg, Microsoft technologies, PowerShell, endpoint management, and end-user hardware.

What You'll Do

• Provide high-touch, first-line technical support to traders, investment professionals, executives, and corporate users.
• Troubleshoot Bloomberg Terminal installation, configuration, file structure, application issues, and related desktop support.
• Support Microsoft 365 , including Outlook, mailbox configuration, mailbox storage issues, and general application troubleshooting.
• Use PowerShell and scripting to troubleshoot and automate common support and administration tasks.
• Support Active Directory / Azure AD , including static and dynamic groups, user access, and account administration.
• Work with Microsoft Intune for endpoint and device management.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 desktops, laptops, peripherals, mobile devices, and other end-user hardware.
• Monitor and manage incoming requests across phone, email, chat, and ticketing queues.
• Proactively identify and resolve outstanding technical issues during quieter periods.
• Deliver fast, polished, white-glove support in an environment where responsiveness and attention to detail are critical.
• Partner with technology teams across the U.S., EMEA, and APAC as part of a global support model.

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands-on experience supporting users in a financial services, trading, investment management, hedge fund, banking, or similarly high-performance environment .
• Hands-on Bloomberg Terminal support experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell , including practical scripting and administration.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Outlook, Exchange, Active Directory/Azure AD, and Intune .
• Strong Windows desktop and hardware troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot beyond surface-level issues and demonstrate a strong understanding of how the underlying technologies work.
• Excellent sense of urgency and ability to operate in an environment where users expect issues to be addressed immediately.
• Polished communication skills and a white-glove, service-oriented approach.
• Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of technical issues from initial request through resolution.

Schedule

This is a full-time, 100% onsite position in Midtown Manhattan designed specifically to strengthen weekend technology coverage.

The schedule includes Saturday and Sunday plus three weekdays , with two weekdays off. Weekend shifts are approximately eight hours and are generally lighter than weekdays. The role will initially include an approximately three-month ramp-up period to learn the environment, systems, processes, and users before taking on independent weekend coverage.

Weekend coverage can also be swapped with teammates when needed, providing some flexibility around occasional personal commitments.
