Accounts Receivable Clerk

Staffmax Staffing & Recruiting

Staffmax is helping our client hire an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk for a 5-month contract. If you’re detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about accounting, this is a great opportunity to contribute to a growing finance team.

Contract length: 5 months
Location: Washington, DC

Key Responsibilities:

· Generate and send invoices to clients accurately and on time

· Apply payments and reconcile customer accounts

· Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts

· Assist in month-end closing and financial reporting

· Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing and payments

· Maintain detailed and accurate financial records

Requirements:

· Previous experience in an accounts receivable or accounting role

· Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)

· Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy

· Excellent communication and customer service skills

· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

This position is well suited for someone who enjoys working with numbers and is comfortable handling sensitive financial data. Staffmax will be your trusted partner throughout the hiring process and your time on contract.
