Job Opportunity – Anatomic Pathologist – New York

Schedule: 3 to 6 month assignment; No call required; Work alongside a team of 4 physicians with full support staff including 5 histotechnologists, 1 pathology assistant, and 2 cytotechnologists

Highlights:

• Hospital-based pathology lab with Level 3 trauma designation
• Annual volume of approximately 13,000 surgical specimens and 3,000 cytology specimens
• Responsibilities include surgical pathology, frozen section analysis, and GYN cytology
• Provider will be responsible for grossing specimens and cutting frozen sections
• Modern equipment including Thin Prep integrated imager by Hologic, Avantik cryostats, and Nikon/Olympus microscopes
• EPIC/Beaker documentation system for streamlined workflow

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Anatomic Pathology required
• Active New York State medical license required
• Cytology Proficiency Exam required for GYN Cytology
• Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation (within 30 days)
• Credentialing timeframe: 40-45 days
