Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nocturnist Hospitalist to provide overnight inpatient care in Syracuse, NY. This opportunity offers a structured 7-on/7-off schedule (7 PM 7 AM) within a well-established, physician-led hospitalist program.

Experience is required no new graduates will be considered. Not accepting locums candidates. Not accepting visa candidates.

Practice Highlights

Provide overnight inpatient care (7 PM 7 AM)

Work a 7-on/7-off rotation with 12-hour shifts

Perform admissions and manage hospitalized patients overnight

Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations

Provide closed ICU overnight rounding on Hospitalist patients

Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition

Collaborate with subspecialists and multidisciplinary teams

Coordinate appropriate follow-up care arrangements upon discharge

Document all patient encounters in EPIC EMR

Deliver patient-centered, high-quality inpatient care

Work within a physician-led governance structure

Be part of a respected, collegial Hospitalist team

Utilize strong clinical judgment and communication skills in acute care settings

Candidate Requirements

Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible (within 2 years) in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine REQUIRED

NY Medical License (or willingness to obtain) REQUIRED

Clean malpractice and license history REQUIRED

Most recent NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) REQUIRED at presentation (No exemptions)

DEA required

MD or DO from an accredited medical school

Must confirm visa status at submission (Visa candidates will not be accepted)
