Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:
- Becomes an expert in all related accounting functions within the company’s ERP system.
- Manage the fixed asset schedule including depreciation, gain/loss, and related tax events.
- Complete/File Forms of List for various states for Personal Property Tax.
- Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
- Reconcile the 401k contributions through payroll.
- Produce and reconcile W-2s and 1095-C (ACA) annually.
- Review 1099 list for inclusion/exclusion for yearend reporting.
- Responsibility to determine sales tax requirements for all construction and service projects as well as equipment purchases and rentals at LH White across varying state jurisdictions.
- Preparation/submission of various states sales/use tax and other misc. returns.
- Responsible for quarterly and annual federal and states payroll tax returns and filings.
- Work with the Controller on the annual financial audit.
Hiring Requirements/Preferences:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (required). Master’s in Taxation a plus.
- Federal and state income tax knowledge.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial and tax analysis.
- Must be detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong initiative and ability to manage complex projects with ability to compete projects timely and accurately.
- Excellent communication and follow through skills.
