Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Cardiovascular Clinic Job Type: Full-Time | Days Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8a-430p; Friday 8a-12p; No Nights or Weekends Your experience matters. More about our team This position offers a great work environment and expands your knowledge into the world of Cardiology. The hours are Monday-Thursday 7:45am-4:30pm and Friday 7:45am-12pm and there are no nights, weekends and most holidays are reserved. How you’ll contribute A Clinic LPN who excels in this role: As supervised and delegated by a registered nurse, provides direct patient care in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care. May administer medication. Documents patient care given. Assists RN with development of plan of care. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Monitors, documents, and communicates patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient. Schedules appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider. What we’re looking for Applicants should have a current Tennessee or compact state LPN license and be a graduate of a Practical Nursing program. Additional requirements include: Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire. Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Licenses: LPN License for the State of Tennessee. Education: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program.
