Interim Senior Accountant

Overview Title: Senior Accountant Consultant (Contract) Start Date: Immediate Duration: 2–3 months Opportunity for Permanent Hire: Contract consultants will be considered for the full‑time role About the Role Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant Consultant to provide immediate support to their accounting team during a critical transition period. This role will focus on core accounting operations and help maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records while the search for a permanent hire is underway. Responsibilities Perform general ledger account reconciliations Handle cash application activities, ensuring timely and accurate posting Oversee invoicing processes, including preparation, review, and issue resolution Assist with month-end and quarter-end close tasks as needed Maintain accurate documentation and support audit requests Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accounting accuracy and workflow efficiency Provide process insights and recommend improvements where applicable Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 4+ years of progressive accounting experience (senior-level preferred) Strong understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices Experience with account reconciliations, cash application, and invoicing functions High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to start immediately and work effectively with limited onboarding time Strong communication and organizational skills Additional Details Contract role with potential to convert to permanent Competitive hourly compensation based on experience If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
