As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities, helping them build independence, confidence, and meaningful daily lives. If you’ve ever helped a loved one, supported someone in your community, or simply feel called to make a difference, this could be the right fit for you. What You’ll Be Doing Support daily routines like meal prep, personal care, and household tasks Encourage independence, confidence, and self-advocacy Assist with community activities, employment, and social engagement Follow individualized support plans and health/behavioral strategies Ensure safety, dignity, and respect at all times Communicate with supervisors and complete basic documentation Who We’re Looking For Kind, dependable, and patient individuals who genuinely care. High school diploma or GED required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Required to pass PA background clearances. Comfortable working independently while part of a team Experience is a plus—but not required (we provide training) Many great DSPs come from backgrounds in caregiving, education, healthcare, or simply from having a big heart.
