Clinical Research Coordinator - Pediatric Oncology/Hematology

The Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (HDFCCC) is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to join the Pediatric Oncology/Hematology research team. The coordinator will independently execute, manage, and coordinate research protocols under the direction of the Clinical Research Manager, Principal Investigator, and Associate Director, coordinating operations and data collection for multiple concurrent clinical research studies in accordance with UCSF and regulatory policies. Required Qualifications High school graduation and sufficient experience and demonstrated skills to perform assigned duties. Attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with subjects, team members, other departments, and outside institutions. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment while working with a diverse subject population. Ability to work well independently, complete projects in a timely manner, and prioritize multiple projects to meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Fluency in the Committee of Human Research (CHR) online iMEDris system for protocol submission, renewal, and modification. Understanding of patient population to build rapport and provide realistic participation guidance. Certification by the Society of Clinical Research Associates or the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Experience with electronic medical records. Prior analytical and writing skills in a science/research environment. Knowledge of clinical research in oncology and experience managing oncology clinical trials. Membership in a clinical research professional society. Knowledge of research regulations, including Good Clinical Practice, HIPAA, CHR for recruitment and consent, and effective cash handling procedures. Experience with specimen processing and laboratory data management. Proficiency with computer programs such as Microsoft Office and specialized software like OnCore. Ability to sit and work at a computer for several hours per day; occasional campus travel via UCSF shuttle; ability to stand for several hours. Familiarity with UCSF and departmental policies on reimbursement, confidentiality, HIPAA, and patient safety. Knowledge of data analysis platforms including Access, Stata, SPSS, Teleform, and database building/analysis. The University of California is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
