The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of patient care tasks as outlined in the competency document. Responsibilities primarily include:

• Assessing patient needs based on collected data, including patient history, observation, physical examinations, and analysis of diagnostic information.
• Providing age-appropriate nursing interventions consistent with the care plan and established standards of practice.
• Creating an environment that promotes caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilizing appropriate health and safety equipment to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
• Implementing standard practices related to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Contributing to departmental performance by mentoring and precepting novice staff.
• Engaging in hospital initiatives that promote Evidence-Based Practices within nursing.
• Demonstrating ongoing professional development by setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
• Assisting in other units as needed to ensure effective patient care.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

This position is within a robust Labor and Delivery unit. We are seeking experienced nurses who are willing to work night shifts. Talent will be scheduled for:

• 3 - 12 hour shifts per week
• 4 - 12 hour call shifts within a 6 week period

Licenses and certifications required for onboarding include:

• Nursing License Verification
• Personal Health History: MMR
• Personal Health History: Hepatitis B Vaccination
• Personal Health History: Fit Test
• Personal Health History: Varicella Vaccination
• Personal Health History: 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot)
• Driver's License/State ID
• Social Security Card
• McLeod Criminal Background Check Results
• McLeod Drug Screen
