In this role, you will influence team capability, operational excellence, and long-term business performance through coaching, mentoring, and employee development.The Performance Development Leader is responsible for the positive technical and behavioral development of the Team Leaders and Operators. They will serve as a resource to the Woodyard Department Production Leader, mentor to the operations team, and work with the Woodyard Manufacturing Engineers to advance the capability of operators. The Performance Development Leader will effectively lead, mentor, supervise, coach, and develop hourly employees utilizing the Principled-Based Management process and Operations Excellence tools to improve capability and performance. What You Will DoLead and foster an environment that develops principled business owners who can identify learning and development opportunities while optimizing equipment performance.Lead the development and implementation of employee performance, skills, qualifications, and capability advancement programs.Develop employees through coaching, mentoring, training programs, and knowledge-sharing initiatives that strengthen individual and team performance.Ensure roles, responsibilities, and expectations are aligned with department, mill, and organizational goals to maximize long-term value creation.Hold teams and individuals accountable for operating strategies and results.Develop processes and systems that promote the transfer of knowledge across the department.Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, pulp and woodyard team members, and other mill leaders to identify and address technician capability and performance gaps.Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)Experience leading people and improving team performance, capability development, or operational effectiveness in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment.Experience working in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, military, or related environment.Ability to work extended hours as needed, participate in a rotating weekend duty schedule, and work or lead shifts when required.What Will Put You AheadExperience training employees in heavy industrial, manufacturing, military, or related environments.Experience working in a union manufacturing environment.Experience using workforce management systems and Microsoft Office applications.At Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
