Soldering Technician

Location: Leander, TX

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Pay: $18.00 – $21.00/hour (depending on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Soldering Technician to support production operations for a robotics manufacturing environment. This role involves assembling, wiring, and soldering components ranging from simple to complex builds with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with soldering techniques and cable assembly, along with a strong focus on quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform soldering tasks , including cup soldering, lap soldering, and connector-to-wire soldering
• Assemble cables, wire harnesses, and electro-mechanical components
• Cut, strip, and crimp wires using appropriate tools and techniques
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Inspect solder joints and assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy standards are met
• Use hand tools, measuring equipment, and heat shrink as required
• Maintain accurate production records and follow work instructions
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
• Participate in process improvements and follow all safety and quality procedures

Basic Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with soldering (cup soldering preferred)
• Knowledge of small gauge crimping, wire cutting, and stripping
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Basic computer and documentation skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• High school diploma or GED required

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical or cable assembly
• Experience with PCBA soldering, heat shrink, and panel/box builds
• Familiarity with production or manufacturing environments

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods while performing detailed soldering work
• Frequent use of hands for fine motor tasks and repetitive motions
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when required
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
• Must be able to wear required PPE

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctual attendance required
• Ability to work overtime if needed
