Registered Nurse – Cardiac/Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Expected 36 hours/week | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Cardiac/Telemetry unit, with the ability to read and interpret telemetry rhythms — telemetry reading competency will be assessed upon start
• Float as needed to various Med-Surg units including Wound Care, Stroke, Oncology, Respiratory, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarder assignments
• Document and manage patient care using Epic EMR — proficiency must be current and demonstrated; no refresher training or on-site orientation to Epic will be provided
• Deliver care in accordance with unit protocols with no on-call requirement

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification (active, required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Minimum 3 years of current, recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in Epic EMR — must be documented at time of submission; no on-site training or 1:1 orientation available
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythms

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience floating across multiple Med-Surg specialty units (Oncology, Stroke, Respiratory, Wound Care, etc.)
• Background in stepdown or progressive care environments
