About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 12 months of permanent Medical/Surgical Telemetry experience License: Must have permanent Ohio license or compact license in hand at time of submission Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start Must-Have: - One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required to qualify for submission - Recent ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment must be completed during orientation with acceptable scores - Medical and religious exemptions for the COVID-19 vaccine and flu vaccine are considered Description: All start date, scheduling information, and shift details must be accurate and confirmed at the time of submission. This information cannot be changed after an offer is presented. All requirements listed are non-negotiable. Options for 4x12, 3x12, or 2x12 shifts are available. Day shift consists of three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. A permanent Ohio license or a compact state license is required. Active BLS and ACLS certifications are a must. Applicants must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification before starting. Only one reference from a recent manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director is accepted. Charge nurse references are also acceptable. An ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be conducted during orientation. Candidates must achieve acceptable scores on both assessments. Background checks are reviewed, and travelers with an open case will not be accepted. License discrepancies may lead to disqualification. Nurses are exempt from nicotine-free facility requirements temporarily. All other travelers must be nicotine-free, and a negative 10-panel drug screen is required within 12 months of start. Candidates who do not meet the annual competency requirements will be removed from the schedule. Extensions may allow candidates to contract for an initial period, followed by a required break. Assessment modules are required pre-start and annually, with some hours being billable.
