Practice Setting and Clinical Scope

This opportunity is situated in a well-established, hospital-based inpatient setting. Physicians will be responsible for a variety of obstetric procedures including routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps deliveries, and decision-making for C-sections. The position involves managing complex deliveries such as breech presentations, multiple births, and VBACs. Physicians will also perform repairs of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations. The practice is supported by onsite labs and ultrasound facilities, with a nursery level of II and a delivery volume of 700-800 annually.

Schedule and Assignment Details

The role requires 24-hour in-house and beeper call coverage. Physicians can expect to manage an average of 1-6 patients per day, with 140-190 labor and delivery triage visits monthly. This flexible schedule allows for a balance between professional responsibilities and personal time, providing a rewarding work-life balance.

Support and Work Environment

As part of a collaborative team, you will work closely with midwives who manage their own patient deliveries. This supportive environment ensures comprehensive care for patients and a shared workload among providers. • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology - Required
