RN - L&D Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN license (NC or compact) Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Intermittent fetal monitoring Must-Have: ADN required, BSN preferred Skills in assessing and caring for laboring patients throughout labor and delivery Ability to assess and treat OB triage patients over 20 weeks Competence in assessing and caring for newborns and postpartum couplets Experience assisting in treating and stabilizing newborns Skill in circulating during urgent or emergent C-sections Description:This is a labor and delivery nursing position focused on providing high-quality patient care.The facility is a rural 81-bed healthcare facility.There are 12 beds available for labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum.The average daily census is 0-6 patients.Patient ratios are typically 1:1-2.A CNA will be staffed on most shifts to assist with various duties.Each shift will have a charge nurse responsible for overseeing unit operations.Phlebotomy services are available within the department.Respiratory therapy support is also provided.Clientist services are included.Telemetry monitoring and tech support are available for patient care.The unit utilizes EMR technology for documentation and patient management.Essential equipment includes IV pumps and monitors for patient observation.The unit culture emphasizes strong teamwork, continuity of care, and patient-centered practices.Scheduling allows for requests for time off if communicated in advance.All necessary uniforms will be provided by the facility. #J-18808-Ljbffr
