LPN or CMA (certified medical asst)- Family Medicine Clinic

Job Opportunity Jefferson Community Health & Life is looking for an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Asst (CMA) to work in their physician clinic. Hours: 7:30am - 5:00pm - 4 days per week. No weekends or holidays. This position utilizes assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation in providing comprehensive and competent patient care. Provides effective interaction with patients, family members and staff, and coordinates interdepartmental patient care activities while maintaining nursing standards within the scope of an LPN or CMA. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Utilizes the nursing process for the performance of patient care, to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care to achieve prioritized patient outcomes according to LPN or CMA scope of practice. Performs and maintains documentation in the EHR system. Communicates effectively with patient and physician. Promotes and ensures patient safety in performance of all responsibilities. Administers medications, treatments and procedures in a timely and safe manner according to physician orders and nursing policy, including appropriate performance of standard precautions, using two patient identifiers, and performing patient risk assessments every time. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Current Nebraska LPN License or CMA BLS Experience using Cerner EHR system, preferred.
