Director, Public Policy

Director, Public Policy (US Public Policy team) Responsibilities: Lead cross-functional teams to analyze and assess impact of legislation and regulations affecting patient access to medicines and vaccines; develop comments/responses focused on implications for GSK and ViiV products and pipeline assets. Provide targeted updates to support market access/payer teams on Medicare Part D policy changes. Provide clear rationale on complex policy issues. Educate internal stakeholders on evolving Medicare Part D, PBM, and the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and other policy developments. Drive alignment and develop strategies/solutions for emerging issues. Maintain a network of external consultants to monitor and assess evolving program/policy changes. Participate in trade association work groups to represent GSK’s interests and shape industry policy positions. Develop briefings and presentations for senior GSK leaders. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
- 5–7+ years’ experience in healthcare policy with extensive understanding of federal rulemaking and legislative processes.
- Industry knowledge of Medicare Part D and the IRA.
- Ability to translate commercial and policy objectives into an aligned, actionable strategic plan.
- Collaborative mindset; ability to drive consensus.
- Experience with federal healthcare programs, commercial payers/providers, and managed care organizations.
- Strong analytical and independent problem-solving; sound independent judgment.
- Strategic mindset; excellent execution of key projects.
- Self-starter with strong time management/prioritization.
- Track record leading/managing multiple projects.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence senior management.
