Production WelderProduction WelderResponsible for manual MIG welding of production parts and/or TIG repair of rework parts while maintaining required quality and production standards.What's in it for you?Elwood Staffing associates are eligible for a comprehensive and competitive benefits package plus an exclusive savings program, including:Medical/Vision/Dental/Rx plansHoliday PayTeladoc (online care)Referral Bonus IncentiveWeekly Pay401kAnd More!Production Welder Details:Contract to hire position$19.00 to $20.00/hourWeekend work requiredVarious shifts available (Sunday through Sunday from 06:00am to 06:00pm)Produce parts by loading and positioning component(s) into the weld fixture and welding components together using methods/equipment defined in operator work instructions and standardized work instructionsPerform detailed (final gauge, bend gauge, hand held gauges, etc) dimensional inspection when necessary to determine quality of productKeep count of completed product on each runProduct parts according to physical KanbanRecord and dispose defective product in designated manner (red bins)Self-inspect welds and parts visually for obvious defects or as specified by work instructionsCheck all safety controls for proper operation at start of shiftFollow and apply 7 Quality Basics (OK 1st piece, self inspection, red bins)Notify GAP Leader and/or Supervisor when defects exceed acceptable limits or when major equipment malfunctions occurPack parts into designated container and record information in line with QS9000 labeling and/or packing instructionsProduction Welder Qualifications:Must be able to MiG weldMust have own hood and glovesSatisfactory company work record, including attendanceDemonstrate the ability to perform welding tasks on any production line and assemble parts effectivelyDemonstrate the ability to perform welds that conform to the quality standard and production paceWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and celebrate diversity at all levels of our organization.
