SOUS CHEF (FULL TIME)

Overview We are hiring immediately for a full time Sous Chef position at Wolfgang Puck Catering. Location: LA Live, 1011 South Figueroa Street, Suite B 101, Los Angeles, CA 90015. Schedule: Full time; 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday. More details upon interview. Pay Range: $28.00 per hour to $32.00 per hour. Responsibilities Cooks and prepares food following approved recipes and production standards; ensures deadlines are met based on production orders. Supervises hourly food service associates, including interviewing, scheduling, payroll, training, counseling, participating in reviews, and recommending disciplinary action as appropriate. Stores food in designated areas following corporate, state, and federal food safety and sanitation procedures. Ensures proper food handling, presentation, portion control, and maintenance of appropriate serving temperatures. Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies, and utensils; keeps workstation clean and organized during meal service. Interacts with customers to resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner and relays relevant information to the supervisor. Demonstrates a complete understanding of daily menu items and explains them to associates and customers. Monitors peak production and service hours; stays aligned with production needs. Monitors inventory and deliveries of product and supplies; tracks production, consumption, and waste; informs supervisor when supplies are low. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications One to three years of sous chef experience is required. Ability to work a full-time schedule as described (40 hours/week). Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation procedures, and kitchen operations.
