Instructor Assistant

As an Instructor Assistant, you will assist a licensed instructor in teaching students with developmental disabilities in approved curriculum areas. Your duties include maintaining a classroom environment conducive to learning, implementing daily lesson plans consistent with students' IEPs, operating equipment, recording responses, and preparing instructional materials. You will also assist students with mobility, physical, and clothing needs, prepare and maintain records and reports, and attend meetings, conferences, and training sessions as requested. You should be able to work cooperatively with staff, parents, family members, and medical personnel to achieve student goals. You will promote and implement the mandates and goals of the Clermont County Board of DD in a professional, positive, and efficient manner. You are required to administer medication to students after receiving appropriate training and to have valid CPR and First Aid if transporting students. You must complete secondary education, have one year of experience with developmentally disabled individuals, possess an Educational Aide Permit, and successfully pass pre-employment checks and physical exams. Hourly pay ranges from $17.34 to $19.07 based on experience.
