About the Position

Job Title

Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (IR RN)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days/Evenings | 4x10-hour shifts | Expected 40 hours/week | Weekends, holidays, and on-call per unit need

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized patient care to adult inpatient and outpatient populations undergoing interventional radiology procedures including biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements, and other image-guided procedures
• Prepare patients for procedures and perform intra-procedure monitoring throughout the course of care
• Manage post-procedure recovery including PACU and extended stay (23-hour) observation
• Serve as an essential member of the critical embolization response team for trauma patients
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols, including wearing facility-issued and laundered scrubs in procedural areas as required

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse License
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent interventional radiology (IR) experience
• Telemetry experience required
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with trauma or critical care patient populations
• Familiarity with PACU and extended observation (23-hour stay) care delivery
