• Eight years of relevant network engineering experience; or a bachelors degree in a relevant technical field and four years of experience; or a masters degree and two years of experience; or a relevant doctorate.
• Strong knowledge of Layer 2–4 networking, IP addressing and subnetting, BGP, OSPF, IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, ECMP, and high-availability design.
• Experience designing, deploying, or operating data-center, cloud, service-provider, or large-enterprise networks.
• Hands-on experience automating network provisioning, configuration, validation, or operations with Python or another programming language.
• Experience with Git, APIs, CI/CD workflows, automated testing, configuration modeling, or infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Experience managing production network changes with risk assessment, validation, rollback, and change-management controls.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot network protocols, devices, automation systems, and physical infrastructure.
• Experience with incident response, root-cause analysis, operational readiness, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work independently, manage project milestones and dependencies, and coordinate with engineering and operations teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including producing clear technical designs, runbooks, and project updates.
• Preferred: Experience building or operating hyperscale cloud, service-provider, ISP, or large-scale data-center networks.
• Preferred: Experience working with cloud networking and platform teams to integrate virtual network services with physical underlay infrastructure.
• Preferred: Experience with Clos or spine-leaf fabrics, EVPN/VXLAN, SDN overlays, traffic engineering, segmentation, and secure service connectivity.
• Preferred: Experience with Terraform, Ansible, YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF, gNMI, or similar model-driven networking technologies.
• Preferred: Experience implementing network telemetry and observability using SNMP, streaming telemetry, NetFlow/IPFIX, flow logs, dashboards, alerting, and service-level indicators.
• Preferred: Knowledge of network security, including ACL and routing-policy management, least privilege, segmentation, MACsec, IPsec, and TLS.
• Preferred: Experience with commodity Ethernet platforms, optics, structured cabling, hardware qualification, and network operating-system validation.
• Preferred: Experience improving operations through automated validation, reusable runbooks, deployment guardrails, or configuration-drift detection.
• Preferred: Experience using AI-assisted engineering tools to improve automation, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, or operational efficiency.

• Design and operate data-center fabrics, routing, and secure connectivity for our physical network infrastructure.
• Convert customer and product needs into network designs, configuration standards, and deployment plans.
• Lead projects from technical design through validation, deployment, documentation, and operational handoff.
• Develop network automation and validation tools using Python, APIs, Git workflows, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Carry out production changes with pre-change checks, post-change verification, and rollback procedures.
• Enhance monitoring, capacity planning, runbooks, and incident response; troubleshoot issues involving protocols, devices, optics, and automation.
• Take part in a periodic on-call rotation, responding to major network incidents and driving them to resolution.
