Position Overview

ProStar Staffing is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Shipping Clerk for an immediate opening in Waukegan, IL. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour
Shift Hours: 9:50 AM – 6:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

Generate and apply shipping labels using warehouse management systems (WMS) and carrier software.
Process daily shipments going out via UPS, FedEx, USPS, and LTL freight providers.
Maintain accurate shipment records and paperwork.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Meet daily productivity, quality, and customer service expectations.

Qualifications

Bilingual skills are required (English/Spanish preferred).
Previous warehouse, shipping, logistics, or 3PL experience preferred.
Experience with RF scanners and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
Basic computer literacy and ability to navigate shipping software.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting.
Ability to work in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures.
Flexibility to work overtime and weekends when required.
