Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day on-site AV installation projects, serving as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, engineers, and internal teams.
• Oversee the installation of AV systems, including displays, sound systems, control systems, conferencing solutions, and supporting infrastructure.
• Manage project schedules and milestones, proactively identifying risks and resolving installation issues through site walks and jobsite readiness assessments.
• Read and interpret AV drawings, schematics, and system designs to guide installations.
• Supervise subcontractors, technicians, and labor crews, ensuring proper scheduling, quality control, and safety compliance.
• Track project progress and provide regular status updates to internal teams and clients.
• Enforce compliance with safety standards, building codes, company policies, and applicable ANSI/AVIXA standards.
• Coordinate equipment deliveries, staging, and inventory management.
• Load programs, test AV control and DSP systems (Q-SYS, Extron, Biamp, Crestron, etc.), support system commissioning, and oversee final client handoff.
• Maintain clear client communication throughout the project and complete as-built drawings, change orders, and closeout documentation.

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of experience in commercial AV installation, construction, or low-voltage project management.
• CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) required; CTS-I preferred.
• Strong understanding of AV signal flow, audio systems, video distribution, video conferencing, AV-over-IP technologies, structured cabling, TCP/IP networking, VLANs, PoE, managed switches, and Dante and/or AVB audio networking.
• Experience with Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS, Biamp, Shure, Logitech, Poly, Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and the ability to configure and troubleshoot AV control systems, DSPs, network switches, and AV-over-IP devices.
• Experience managing commercial AV projects in corporate, education, healthcare, or government environments, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documents.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and project management skills, including proficiency with project reporting tools.
• OSHA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Valid driver's license required, with the willingness and ability to travel to job sites throughout the Greater Houston area and surrounding regions as needed.
