Senior Trial Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks a Senior Trial Attorney in New York, New York. Duties Independently manage a caseload involving insurance defense, general liability, and other litigation matters. Handle all aspects of insurance defense litigation through trial. Conduct and defend depositions, handle court appearances, and motion practice. Prepare and examine witnesses, ensuring thorough case preparation. Collaborate with attorneys and partners on legal projects and case strategy. Communicate with clients to provide status reports and counsel on case developments. Participate in trial strategy discussions and prepare trial exhibits and evidence. Deliver high-level client service by managing expectations and achieving excellent outcomes. Requirements Admitted to practice in the State of New York. At least 8 years of defense litigation experience. Experience with construction (NYS Labor Law), insurance defense, and premises liability. Experience appearing in court for motions, hearings, depositions, and trials. Demonstrated trial experience with personal injury or general liability cases preferred. Education JD from an accredited law school. Certifications Admitted to practice law in New York. Skills Superior analytical skills and strategic thinking.
