Description:

The Emergency Department RN will work night shifts. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in the emergency department. The nurse will be responsible for assessing and triaging patients who present with a variety of conditions. The role involves managing high volumes of patients, including pediatric and adult cases. Experience with trauma cases, specifically Level 3 trauma, is needed. Moderate sedation procedures will be part of the duties. The RN will collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including respiratory services and social workers. Additional responsibilities may include conducting mental health assessments and performing sexual assault examinations. Strong skills in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and patient management in acute settings are essential. The role includes the possibility of being placed on call as needed for the department. Flexibility in accommodating schedules will be considered but cannot be guaranteed. The position is open to first-time travelers with proper credentials. Weekend shifts may be required. The assigned patient ratio for this role will be approximately 3-4 patients per nurse. Candidates should have experience with electronic medical record systems. The nurse must be prepared to float within the hospital to meet patient care needs as necessary.
