Job Description Full Time Position. About the role The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supports plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician, while ensuring regulatory compliance and quality standards. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma. Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results. Notify donors of unsuitable test results. Conduct informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions and implement medical emergency procedures per SOPs. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical guidance. Support HepatitisB and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine further evaluation as required by occupational health/ER. Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate diploma of a recognized nursing program that meets state requirements. Current license or certification in the state where responsibilities will be assigned (RN, NP, or PA). Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two years of clinical or hospital experience. The actual wage offered may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location.
