Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract role working directly with an elementary-aged student as a dedicated paraprofessional. This full-time position—32.5 hours per week—offers the opportunity to impact one student's academic and daily life, providing essential one-on-one support in an engaging educational environment. The assignment begins immediately and continues through the end of the current school year, making it ideal for those ready to put their paraprofessional expertise to work right away.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students, demonstrating patience and adaptability.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, students, and staff.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning climate.
- Must be reliable and able to commit to the full duration of the assignment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized support and assistance to the assigned student throughout the school day.
- Aid with classroom tasks, reinforcing teacher-led instruction, assignments, and activities.
- Contribute to behavior management and social skill development as part of the student's day-to-day routine.
- Maintain open communication with educators and other school professionals to address student progress and needs.
- Adapt to the evolving needs of the student, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and nurturing space for learning.
