Transactional Attorney

Compensation: $115,000 – $145,000 per year (commensurate with experience) Job Description Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C., a full-service mid-sized law firm with offices in New Haven, Hartford, and Fairfield, Connecticut, is seeking a mid-senior level Associate Attorney to join its Commercial Real Estate and Transactional Practice Group in its New Haven office. This position is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented transactional attorney with experience in commercial real estate transactions and commercial lending . The associate will work closely with senior attorneys on a broad range of sophisticated transactions while managing matters independently as appropriate. Responsibilities Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial real estate purchase and sale agreements, leases, and related transactional documents Representing lenders and borrowers in commercial finance transactions (including SBA backed loans) Preparing and reviewing loan documentation, title, survey, and due diligence materials Coordinating closings and post-closing matters Advising clients on entity formation and transactional structuring related to real estate and commercial finance matters Working collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and staff while maintaining the ability to manage assignments independently Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Licensed and in good standing in Connecticut (New York license is a benefit) 4+ years of relevant transactional experience preferred Strong drafting, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment This position requires a hardworking, confident, and client-focused attorney who enjoys transactional work and values both autonomy and teamwork.
