Job Description

An established manufacturing company in Waukesha is seeking an Assembler to produce hand-cut and assembled parts used in a variety of applications. In this role, you will operate equipment used for gluing, fusing, sawing, and assembly while following work orders, blueprints, and established quality standards. Assembly or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required, making this a great opportunity for a dependable, detail-oriented candidate ready to learn manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities:

• Read work orders and blueprints to determine production processes and material requirements.
• Set up and operate equipment used for gluing, fusing, sawing, cutting, and assembly.
• Select and properly handle materials while inspecting completed parts for quality and accuracy.
• Monitor equipment operation to identify product defects or machine malfunctions.
• Complete production records accurately and maintain a clean, safe work area, including stacking, marking, packing, and transporting finished products as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Assembly or manufacturing experience desired but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent desired.
• Ability to follow directions and understand and communicate basic English desired.
• Ability to perform basic math using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals and convert between fractions and decimals.
• Ability to accurately read a ruler in increments of 1/16 inch and .06 inch.
• Consistent and timely attendance required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and bend, reach, and grasp while performing production duties.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to visually inspect work for accuracy, quality, neatness, and completeness.
• Ability to work on a manufacturing floor with regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels.
• Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.

The base pay range for this position is $18/hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity.
