Job Description

General Function: A central scheduler in the Practice will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient scheduling, communication, and resource management to support the overall functioning of the Practice.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Interact with patients to schedule appointments, provide information about procedures, and answer questions related to scheduling.
• Maintain and update the schedules, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on appointments, meetings, and other commitments.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient appointments, cancellations, and reschedules.
• Communicate effectively with team within the practice to ensure smooth coordination and resolve scheduling conflicts.
• Verify patient information, insurance details, and appointment requirements to facilitate a seamless check-in process.
• Ensure compliance with Practice policies, privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and other relevant guidelines related to scheduling and patient information.
• Manage last minute changes, cancellations, and urgent appointment requests while maintaining a balanced schedule.
• Proficiently use scheduling software and electronic health records systems to streamline the scheduling process and maintain accurate records.
• Strive to enhance the patient's experience by minimizing wait times, providing clear instructions, and addressing scheduling-related concerns promptly.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of related work experience Strong customer service skills Organization skills and ability to multitask Effective communication skills (verbal, written, listening, presentation)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with in-store technology, such as point of sale, patient record systems and other software applications Proven ability to identify issues and solve problems Strong interpersonal skills

Pay Range: 18.73 - 28.97 This posting is for an existing vacancy within our business. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
