Specialist Production Planner

Specialist Production Planner at Amgen's Rhode Island manufacturing facility translates business demand into executable production plans while managing day-to-day manufacturing execution. The role combines production planning, SAP system management, and data analytics to ensure supply continuity and support digital transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain executable production plans in SAP and planning systems
- Monitor production orders, material consumption, and execution data to identify discrepancies and risks
- Create KPIs, dashboards, and analytical tools to improve planning visibility and decision-making
- Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain to resolve execution issues
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain production planning documentation
Requirements
- Experience with production planning, manufacturing execution, or supply chain operations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis
- Familiarity with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning systems
- Knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
- Cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
