POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Technical Recruiter who can manage the recruiting for engineering and construction roles — sourcing, screening, tracking applications and hiring direct and contract personnel for industrial projects in engineering, piping, structural, mechanical, civil, and related industrial disciplines. This is an on-site position based in Birmingham, AL. Remote work is not available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage onboarding and recruiting for engineering and construction positions, from intake through offer and placement
• Source, track, screen, and qualify candidates
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of engineering and construction talent for current and future project needs
• Conduct in-depth candidate interviews to assess technical qualifications, work history, and cultural fit
• Partner with discipline managers to understand role requirements and hiring timelines
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date candidate and requisition records and communicate with vendors
• Negotiate pay rates, raises, offers, and placement terms with candidates and vendors
• Track recruiting metrics and provide regular pipeline and placement updates
• Ensure compliance with employment documentation and staffing industry regulations
• Updating company job postings

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 3 years of recruiting experience, preferably in engineering, construction, or industrial or technical staffing
• Demonstrated ability to source and screen technical candidates
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Must be local or willing to relocate to the Birmingham, AL area

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Longevity/tenure in previous roles — a stable employment history is a strong plus
• Experience recruiting for piping, structural, mechanical, civil, or project controls disciplines
• Prior experience in a staffing agency or third-party recruiting environment
• Great people skills and a desire to support company growth.

COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE

• Pay: Depends on Experience (DOE)
