• Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099).
• Take technical ownership of a complex, enterprise-scale Workday HCM environment.
• Work at the intersection of Workday integrations, architecture, automation, and emerging AI capabilities.
• Influence technical standards, governance, platform architecture, and future-state Workday capabilities.
• Combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership, mentoring, and solution architecture responsibilities.
• Partner closely with HR, Payroll, IT, and business stakeholders on highly visible enterprise initiatives.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Lead the architecture, development, implementation, and ongoing support of complex Workday HCM integrations and technical solutions.
• Serve as a senior technical authority across Workday integrations, APIs, Extend, Orchestrate, and custom application development.
• Design and build integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, PICOF, CCB, XSLT, REST/SOAP APIs, and web services.
• Provide hands-on development while guiding Workday developers and integration consultants through technical design, code reviews, troubleshooting, and delivery.
• Establish scalable technical standards, governance practices, development patterns, and platform best practices.
• Partner with HR, Payroll, Talent, Recruiting, Compensation, Time Tracking, and technology stakeholders to translate business needs into sustainable technical solutions.
• Expand the use of Workday Extend, Orchestrate, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities to improve operational efficiency.
• Evaluate opportunities to incorporate Workday Illuminate and other emerging AI capabilities into enterprise workflows.
• Troubleshoot complex platform and integration issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement long-term remediation.
• Manage technical deliverables, dependencies, risks, production support requirements, and competing priorities across multiple initiatives.
• Ensure solutions meet appropriate security, audit, data governance, and enterprise architecture standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to evaluate new Workday functionality and platform enhancements.

Do You Have the Expertise to Lead in Workday HCM Integration Architecture?

• 10+ years of HCM technical experience, including 8+ years of hands-on Workday integration and technical solution delivery experience .
• Deep hands-on expertise with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI, PICOF, CCB, XSLT, Workday APIs, REST/SOAP web services, and integration architecture .
• Proven experience leading technical delivery for enterprise-scale Workday implementations, enhancements, or transformation initiatives.
• Strong experience with Workday Extend and Workday Orchestrate , including custom application or workflow development.
• Experience implementing or leveraging Workday AI/Illuminate and automation capabilities.
• Strong understanding of Workday security, business processes, reporting, and platform architecture.
• Experience integrating Workday with middleware, cloud platforms, and API-driven enterprise ecosystems.
• Strong functional understanding of HR, Payroll, Talent, Recruiting, Compensation, and Time Tracking processes.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor developers or consultants, conduct code/design reviews, and provide technical direction.
• Ability to manage multiple technical initiatives, production support needs, dependencies, and competing priorities.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery, JIRA, ServiceNow, and modern DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, presentation, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Workday certifications such as Workday Pro Integrations, Workday Pro Studio, Workday Pro Extend, Workday Pro Orchestrate, or Workday Pro Reporting are highly desirable.
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, Generative AI, AI/ML solutions, or AI-enabled workforce technologies is a plus.
