Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with ARDMS certification and at least 1 year of experience for a general ultrasound role in a community hospital setting.
Details
- General ultrasound unit in a community hospital setting
- Adult patient population with 1:1 patient ratio
- Work settings include Emergency Department, portables, vascular, small parts, OB/GYN, and renal/pelvis studies
- Procedures may include paracentesis, thoracentesis, and ultrasound guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration
- Uses GE ultrasound equipment
- Day shift schedules available: 5x8 hours 6:00 AM-2:30 PM or 9:30 AM-6:00 PM
- Call requirement only if permanent staff do not pick up shifts, potentially one weekend (24 hrs)/month and a few 6p-6a shifts per schedule
Requirements
- ARDMS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Prior travel experience required
- Epic charting system experience preferred
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Skills in abdomen, abdominal aorta, appendix, biliary tract, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, breast, vascular studies (aorta, carotid, duplex, upper/lower extremity arterial and venous), renal/pelvis, transvaginal, uterus, small parts, thyroid, and fetal anatomical survey
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Perform general and specialized ultrasound exams across abdominal, vascular, small parts, renal/pelvis, and OB/GYN studies
- Support pediatric and adult patient populations
- Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
- Holidays observed include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
- Returning staff/travelers must have a separation period before reapplying
