Job Description As a Security Guard Full Time New York State Patrol Compliance in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Tue: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Wed: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sat: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM Sun: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM What You'll Do Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a government human services location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including building perimeters, entrances, common areas, and surrounding property, to help deter unauthorized activity. Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures. Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts. Minimum Requirements Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License. Have at least one year of security-related experience. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
