HR Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an HR Manager for a direct-hire opportunity in the food and beverage manufacturing industry in Puerto Rico. This role is well suited for an HR professional with strong generalist experience, training coordination expertise, and knowledge of compliance requirements within a manufacturing or regulated environment.

The HR Manager will support plant employees, supervisors, and leadership by coordinating training programs, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and helping ensure Human Resources processes are consistent, compliant, and employee-focused. Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, coordinate, and document employee training programs in accordance with GMP, food safety, state, federal, and industry requirements.
- Maintain training records, generate reports, follow up on documentation, and keep the electronic training system accurate and up to date.
- Coordinate new employee orientation and training related to HR policies, procedures, systems, and workplace expectations.
- Support supervisors and managers with training system usage, employee development initiatives, skills development, and leadership support.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to coordinate training sessions, audit documentation, compliance metrics, and required follow-up.
- Provide administrative HR support for performance evaluations, employee services, special projects, and plant-level HR initiatives.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $52,000 to $55,000 annually.
- Job type: Direct hire.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Coordinate plant training programs and ensure accurate documentation for compliance and audit readiness.
- Support HR policies, employee orientation, performance evaluation administration, and employee services.
- Maintain electronic training systems, reporting processes, and training metrics.
- Partner with managers, supervisors, and subject matter experts to support training, compliance, and employee development initiatives.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferably with a concentration in Human Resources.
- 3 to 5 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a generalist, training, or manufacturing support role.
- Knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, UKG, and E-Verify.
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices, food safety standards, FSSC 22000 v7.0, social and ethical compliance, and related regulations.
- Experience supporting audits, training documentation, compliance initiatives, or regulated HR processes.
- Practical knowledge of electronic training systems and Human Resources platforms.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Strong communication, organization, follow-up, confidentiality, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in food manufacturing, beverage production, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience preparing HR or training documentation for internal, customer, regulatory, or certification audits.
- Familiarity with plant operations, production teams, employee relations support, and compliance-driven training programs.
