This position works the 1st shift.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSOperates and maintains mobile and/or stationary equipment to relieve/backfill Production and Retail OperatorsFollows all company policies and local, state, and federal regulations (MSHA, etc.) for safe, environmentally conscious working proceduresPerforms daily pre‐and‐post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policiesCleans the plant(s), equipment, and breakrooms and maintains designated work area (stockpiles, etc.)Utilizes understanding of the capabilities of equipment of various sizes and weightsPerforms minor servicing and maintenance of equipment or facilitiesAssists with major repairs as neededRegular, reliable attendance at the worksite or assigned work locationOther duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as neededQUALIFICATIONSEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMust possess a safe work historyMust have a good record of behavior and attendanceHave a positive attitude and proactive approach to our safety programWillingness to do other work as needed, including heavy laborAbility to operate and monitor equipment in a safe and efficient mannerAbility to perform preventive maintenance and pre-shift inspections; repair and/or clean equipment as neededAbility to comprehend and complete all needed paperwork in a timely and accurate mannerGood interpersonal skillsAbility to work collectively in a team environmentWillingness to work a flexible schedule, including swing shift, graveyard shift, nights, overtime, and weekends as requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSLift objects of various dimensions and up to 75 lbs. of weight occasionally and 50 lbs. of weight frequentlyAbility to work near, around, or on light or heavy equipmentAbility to repeatedly climb stairs and climb laddersAbility to repeatedly balance, bend from the trunk, crawl, kneel, push and pull objectsAbility to use vibration tools frequentlyAbility to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather conditionsAbility to repeatedly reach, squat, and tolerate prolonged standing/walking/sittingAbility to repeatedly walk on uneven surfacesEEO Statement:We consider applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, genetics, marital or protected veteran status.
