Position Duties:
Provide counseling and psychotherapy, crisis response, public health and outreach services to students. Consult with parents and faculty. Coordinate one area of administrative responsibility. Provide clinical supervision for other practitioners, and seminar training to graduate students in training and/or Post-Doctoral Fellows.
Essential Functions:
Provide psychological services to students experiencing psychological disorders, crises, personal adjustment, developmental and/or psychological problems that require professional attention. Provide initial assessments, individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention and clinical referral services. Assist with daytime psychological emergencies. Provide 24-hr emergency crisis coverage after-hours and weekends to assess students for risk of harm to self or others; determine need for hospitalization and accompany students to hospital for evaluation and possible inpatient admittance. Provide recommendations to Dean of Student and/or their representatives regarding students aftercare needs upon discharge from hospital. Provide consultation to concerned faculty, administrators and parents concerned about a student or involved in a student's safety plan. Coordinate one or more areas of administrative responsibility: Technology: Provide vision, leadership and administrative oversight for maintaining and updating Titanium medical records and scheduling system. Responsible for updates and maintenance of Titanium medical records and clinical scheduling system. Provide training and consultation to staff on use and troubleshooting of the program. Clinical Systems: Provide administrative oversight and leadership of clinical services delivery model and clinical case management referral delivery system. Serve as a primary consultant to staff regarding clinical concerns and emergencies, and to campus partners regarding mental health-related student concerns. Manage ProtoCall after-hours and daytime remote emergency phone service procedures. Update Students of Concern list, scheduling, and staff roster for ProtoCall. Assist with clinical orientation of new staff and graduate level trainees. Assist with policy manual updates and emergency services (daytime and after-hours) manual updates. Assist with annual report and other reports (e.g., Counseling Center newsletter). Assist with developing and implementing Public Health campaigns and outreach initiatives for students to promote destigmatization of mental health concerns and services. Provide Resident Assistant crisis intervention training. Design and implement student leadership trainings, psycho-educational workshops, and co-moderate Greyhound Wellbeing Network. Provide clinical and administrative supervision for unlicensed professional staff and professional staff coordinating an area of service delivery. Schedule and evaluate staff performance conducting performance appraisal and reviews. Evaluate workload, priorities and activity schedules to determine staffing requirements. Provide clinical supervision and seminar trainings for graduate level Externship or Field Placement Program in psychology, social work, or pastoral counseling. Facilitate clinical team meetings and case conference meetings for professional staff. Participate in monthly multicultural staff professional development. Participate in professional associations and continuing education professional development activities to remain licensed and informed regarding new developments in the field.

Education Required: Master's degree
Required Certifications/Licensures: Licensed in the state of Maryland, or license-eligible in Maryland within 1 year of start date, as a psychologist, social worker, or professional counselor
Work Experience: 5 - 8 years
Describe Required Experience: Minimum of 5 years related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to assess and appropriately design clinical, preventive, and risk management interventions to meet the needs of the college student population which are ever evolving, including many students with diagnosable mental health disorders. Demonstrated skill in working well under pressure to prioritize and manage clinical situations, including accompanying students to hospital and when necessary facilitating inpatient admissions, and provide recommendations on aftercare at hospital discharge meetings. Knowledge of suicide assessment and intervention and supervision of clinical staff providing these services, assessment of students exhibiting major mental health disorders, including psychotic episodes and bipolar disorders, and suicidal ideation Clinical and crisis intervention experience with traditional college-aged population and demonstrated multicultural competencies. Technical knowledge of computer software programs, webpage development and maintenance and use of social media. Ability to support the University's goals for institutional diversity, as well as the goals and values of a Catholic, Jesuit education.
Final compensation offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, job-related experience, internal equity, and alignment with organizational budget.
